Along with the development of technology, knowledge in the field of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) is currently the knowledge that must be owned by everyone, fromelementary to university level. Not only the students who must master ICT, teaching staff (teachers) should also be capable and mature in mastering ICT, so as to implement the use of ICT in learning in school. ICT as a tool in the teaching-learningprocess allows the interaction between teachers and students a more interactive, visual learning students making learningeasier, and with the ICT distribution of electronic books became cheaper and affordable by students.

Airputih with the team Developers BlankOn and supported by UNESCO create software to aid in the learning process, in addition to software, also provided a tutorialmodules use Open Source software for education that has beenwrapped in a Linux distribution Ubuntu Education.

The team AirPutih will distribute BlankOn Education and conduct training for 20 days at two schools, Farol Elementary School and the National Directorate for Recurrent Education (NDRE). The team BlankOn Linux developers to develop software that is needed isembodied in the Linux distribution Ubuntu Education, or in Tetun BlankOn Edukasaun.

BlankOn for Educational Development has been started since October 2011, while implementation in East Timor will take place on 28 November until 20 December 2011. For the needs of ICT education, AirPutih and BlankOn Linux using Open Source software, the license allows people to modify and pass it back, so that the spirit of mutual cooperation in ICT can be realized, and the independence of ICTs can be achieved.
